Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Telecoms Infrastructure Manager to lead Queenstown-based operations. The role focuses on strategic planning, deployment, and maintenance of all telecommunications infrastructure, with a strong leadership emphasis across engineers, technicians, and support staff.

Ideal candidates will have a deep background in fiber, wireless, and IP networks, coupled with proven budget management and vendor negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic plans for telecommunications infrastructure development and maintenance.
• Manage a team of engineers, technicians, and support staff, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and upgrading of network infrastructure, including fiber optics, wireless, and core network components.
• Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of all telecommunications systems.
• Manage vendor relationships and contract negotiations for infrastructure procurement and services.
• Develop and manage budgets for infrastructure projects and operational expenses.
• Implement and enforce robust security measures and compliance with industry regulations.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for major network incidents and develop proactive solutions.
• Stay abreast of new technologies and industry best practices to drive innovation.
• Ensure efficient resource allocation and project management for all infrastructure initiatives.
