Job summary

NZTA | Waka Kotahi is seeking a proven leader to head a team of environmental planning professionals, delivering strategic direction and coaching across a diverse portfolio of transport projects.

You'll collaborate with iwi, local authorities and government agencies to influence consenting outcomes, shape environmental planning practice, and ensure delivery across the project lifecycle in New Zealand.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
• Extensive experience in environmental/resource management planning or related statutory processes.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
• Experience influencing complex programmes and delivering pragmatic outcomes.
• Strategic thinking capability across competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing team of environmental planning professionals.
• Provide technical leadership, coaching and development.
