Job summary

NZTA | Waka Kotahi is seeking a Principal Advisor Regulatory System Design to shape system-level regulatory interventions for safe and effective land transport in Aotearoa New Zealand. You will lead cross-functional work with senior teams, using data and strategic thinking to influence policy and practice.

You will work across Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington, Christchurch or Palmerston North, driving thought leadership and coaching others to build capability within a high-performing regulatory

Qualifications

Experience in designing system-level regulatory interventions.
Ability to lead cross-stakeholder initiatives and deliver on time.
Strong data, insights and analysis capabilities to inform decisions.

Responsibilities

Use data and analysis to understand regulatory framework and system performance.
Lead design of complex system-level regulatory interventions for safety and coherence.
Provide strategic leadership and advice to influence regulatory practice.
Influence regulatory decisions across the organisation and wider system.
Foster collaboration and continuous improvement in system design.
