Job summary

APD Global in New Zealand seeks a Structural Engineer to join our Transmission team in Auckland, delivering high-quality design for HV transmission line projects and coordinating with cross-functional teams.

You will lead site visits, support proposals, interfacing with clients, and ensure quality and delivery. A Civil/Structural degree and 5+ years' experience are required to progress in a dynamic, safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Civil or Structural (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 5 years structural engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Space Gass beneficial.
• Familiarity with Australian and New Zealand codes (Concrete and Steel).

Responsibilities

• The Structural Engineer is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality design solutions for high voltage transmission line projects, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, and contributing to strategic planning and innovation.
• Supporting the end-to-end design including modelling, design of structures, and foundations.
• Foundation designs – varying from normal concrete foundations to pile foundations.
• Site visits and inspections as required.
• Assisting with the preparation of proposals.
• Managing smaller projects or parts of larger projects.
