Job summary

Fusion5 is building an AI-native platform in Auckland. We are seeking a senior software engineer to own end-to-end changes across the application and cloud stack, from investigation through to production operation.

You will work across TypeScript back-end services and React front-end, with strong emphasis on observability, security and delivery in a multi-tenant SaaS product. You will collaborate with our AI Platform Engineering Lead and CTO of AI Transformation, shaping architecture, deployment

Qualifications

• Experience building production SaaS software and leading end-to-end delivery.
• Proficient in TypeScript and React-based front- and back-end work.
• Comfort with cloud platforms and data stores at scale.

Responsibilities

• Own significant platform changes from investigation to production operation.
• Develop front-end in React and back-end in TypeScript for a SaaS product.
• Build services, APIs and data models for a multi-tenant platform.
• Work with telemetry pipelines and fault/ anomaly detection systems.
• Improve Azure infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines and safeguards.
• Enhance observability and system diagnostics for faster root cause analysis.
• Apply security practices across identity, secrets, permissions and data.
• Investigate production issues across app and infra boundaries.
• Deploy changes safely and monitor their impact in production.
• Collaborate with teams and early customers to drive improvements.
• Improve docs, tests and operational processes as the team grows.
• Participate in on-call rotations after platform knowledge is built.
