Lightspeed Commerce, Inc. in Auckland is seeking a Staff Site Reliability Expert to shape how we build and operate reliable systems at scale across AWS infrastructure and platform engineering. You’ll enable product teams to ship and operate great products with autonomy.

You’ll mentor engineers, own incident response and disaster recovery, implement IaC with Terraform, and drive observability, security and cost-conscious designs in a hybrid, globally accessible environment.

Qualifications

• Strong AWS experience operating highly available, scalable production systems.
• Experience in SaaS or product-led environments with cross-functional work.
• Terraform and configuration management tooling.

Responsibilities

• Shape infrastructure reliability, developer experience, and platform capabilities.
• Design and maintain scalable AWS infrastructure using IaC.
• Build tools and platform services for product engineers to ship independently.
• Partner with engineering teams to design resilient, secure systems.
• Improve engineering practices and delivery across distributed teams.
• Champion observability, HA, incident management and DR.
• Lead incident response and drive lasting improvements.
• Mentor engineers on reliability practices and participate in on-call rotation.
