We urgently need a Senior Signage Machine Operator who has the ability to work with and manage our specialist software and to develop and train others within our Auckland operations. The role involves working 40 hours per week. Your responsibilities will include the safe, accurate, and efficient operation of CNC routers, laser cutting machines, and press brake/bending equipment, which is used in the manufacture of signage components and related products. You will be working with our unique software programmes in the operation of the CNC Machinery. The role directly reports to our Factory Lead, working with them and others in the team, to produce signs and components in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, schedules and our high-quality standards. There is a high degree of responsibility for your own and others' compliance with health and safety, and for maintaining our specialist machines and their software components. You will be responsible for training and guiding others.

This is a job that requires a high degree of experience and competency, and this is reflected in the remuneration of between $48 and $52 per hour.

About you

• Proven experience in operating, programming, and maintaining CNC Machines to produce components to high degree of tolerance, finishes, and varying quantities
• Experience in CNC laser, router, turret punch, and brake press operation
• Experience in CNC programming, CAD/CAM, nesting, and production optimisation
• Experience with CorelDRAW, Adobe Illustrator, and AutoCAD
• Engineering drawing interpretation and file preparation
• Metal fabrication and sheet material processing
• Tooling selection, machine setup, and preventative maintenance
• Quality inspection, measuring equipment, and fault-finding
• Industrial machine safety and compliance
• End-to-end manufacturing from design to finished product
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment
• Proven ability to accurately and efficiently interpret technical and detailed drawings
• Ability to effectively assess manufactured components for accuracy, finish, and defects
