Job summary

Fulton Hogan in Christchurch, New Zealand, is seeking a hands-on Sign Maker to manufacture signs and graphics to a high standard, on time and within budget.

You will lead junior sign makers, support stock control and day-to-day production workflow, and uphold safety and quality while collaborating with a friendly team.

We're looking for a Sign Maker to join the team and manufacture a wide range of signs and graphics to a high standard, in a timely and cost-effective way, with minimal errors.

This is a hands‑on role for someone who takes pride in quality work, backs themselves to get things done, and knows when to switch on. You'll be part of a team that is friendly and forward moving, where safety matters, standards are high, and good ideas are always welcome. You'll also help support and guide early career sign makers by sharing your skills and experience.

• Manufacture signs and graphics to a high standard, meeting quality, compliance, timing and cost expectations.
• Support stock take, stock control, dispatch, packing, inwards goods, and provide day‑to‑day leadership to junior sign makers.
• Experience in sign manufacturing and a solid understanding of production workflows, planning and processes from receipt through to job completion.
• Strong attention to detail, a proactive approach, and the ability to stay organised, manage changing priorities and keep work moving.
• A safety‑first mindset, sound judgement, and a commitment to quality, environmental care and doing the right thing.
• Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to build respect with others, and confidence to lead, motivate and support team members.
