Job summary

Clyde Primary School invites applications from an experienced teacher to lead our senior school team and instruct Year 8 from the start of 2027. This permanent role includes two management units and a pivotal seat on our leadership group.

We value energy, initiative and a passion for literacy and numeracy, plus the ability to create meaningful learning opportunities beyond the classroom. NZ trained or recent NZ classroom experience is essential.

Qualifications

• NZ trained or recent, successful teaching experience in a New Zealand classroom is essential
• Strong curriculum knowledge with exemplary classroom practice in senior primary
• Demonstrated leadership and collaboration in school settings

Job description

We are seeking an experienced teacher to lead our senior school team and teach our Year 8 class from the start of 2027.

This permanent position includes 2 management units and a key role on our leadership team.

We are looking for someone who:

• Brings energy, initiative and genuine enthusiasm for teaching senior primary students.
• Has strong curriculum knowledge and exemplary classroom practice with strengths in literacy and mathematics.
• Builds positive, respectful relationships with students, whānau and colleagues and has high expectations for all learners.
• Is collaborative, reflective and committed to continually strengthening their practice.
• A passion for EOTC and sports, combined with the ability to create meaningful learning opportunities beyond the four walls of the classroom, is highly desirable.
