Job summary

Clyde School in Central Otago invites applications for an experienced teacher to lead our senior school team and teach Year 8 from the start of 2027. This permanent role includes leadership responsibilities within our school leadership team.

The successful applicant will bring energy, strong curriculum knowledge in literacy and mathematics, and a passion for EOTC and sport, with a collaborative approach that supports student wellbeing and high expectations for all learners.

Qualifications

• NZ teaching registration required.
• Strong curriculum knowledge in literacy and mathematics.
• Energy, initiative and enthusiasm for senior primary teaching.
• Collaborative, reflective, growth-minded practitioner.
• Passion for EOTC and sports is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead our senior school team and teach Year 8 from start of 2027.
• Contribute to the school leadership team and governance.
• Build positive relationships with students, whānau and staff.
• Deliver high-quality learning opportunities that extend beyond the classroom.
