Job summary

Kaitangata School in South Otago invites applications for two permanent, full-time teaching positions for Years 1–8. We are seeking forward-thinking, enthusiastic teachers to join our junior and middle school teams, committed to creating a positive learning environment and strong community partnerships.

Successful applicants will use evidence-based approaches, manage classrooms effectively, and collaborate with staff to differentiate teaching and support all learners.

Qualifications

• Current New Zealand teacher registration.
• Strong classroom management including positive behaviour strategies.
• Knowledge and implementation of Structured Literacy and evidence-based numeracy.
• Ability to work productively and collegially within the teaching team.
• Commitment to using data to inform, adapt, and differentiate teaching.
• A willingness to get involved in wider school events.

Responsibilities

• Teach Years 1–8 (primary/intermediate) in junior and middle school.
