Job summary

Musselburgh School in Dunedin invites an enthusiastic, passionate educator to join our thriving team as a Certificated teacher for Years 1–8. This fixed-term, full-time role covers leave from 27 January 2027 to 16 December 2027, with start on 27 January 2027.

You will teach Year 4–6 students, deliver structured mathematics and literacy, and foster wellbeing and strong relationships with students, whānau and colleagues. The ideal candidate is curious, creative and committed to student success.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering structured mathematics and literacy.
• Ability to build strong relationships with students, whānau and colleagues.
• Experience teaching Years 4–6.

Responsibilities

• Teach primary and intermediate students (Years 4–6) across specified subjects.
• Create engaging learning environments and support student wellbeing.
