Job summary

Lochiel School in rural Southland is seeking an enthusiastic teacher (years 1–8) for a fixed-term maternity leave position starting 03/02/2027. The school offers a supportive board and community, with a strong emphasis on relationships and high expectations for learners.

You will contribute to a diverse curriculum including English, Health and physical education, Mathematics and statistics, Science, The arts, te reo Māori, languages and more, while building strong whānau and staff relationships.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated and relationship-focused teacher to join our rural school community in 2027 for a parental leave position.
