Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Program Management Lead in New Zealand to orchestrate large SAP transformations. You will lead multi-workstream delivery, integrate business, functional, technical, data, and change teams, and ensure delivery against scope, schedule, and budget.

You will drive governance, readiness, and decision‑making, while guiding client executives and sponsors toward leading practices. Travel up to 100% may be required as client engagements dictate.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of total professional experience in SAP consulting, enterprise technology, or business transformation.

Responsibilities

• Establish fit-for-purpose program governance, operating models, delivery frameworks, and tools for large SAP transformations tailored to the client environment.
• Serve as the Program Management Lead, providing day-to-day leadership across all program workstreams, ensuring alignment to scope, schedule, budget, quality, risks, dependencies, and business outcomes.
• Own and maintain the integrated program plan, managing critical path activities, inter-workstream dependencies, milestone achievement, resource planning, and overall program health.
• Lead phase gate and readiness management across the program, ensuring each major delivery stage has clear entry and exit criteria, evidence-based readiness assessments, accountable owners, documented risks, and aligned go/no‑go recommendations for leadership decision‑making.
• Lead your team and drive alignment across functional, technical, deployment, testing, data, and change teams, providing clear direction, removing obstacles, escalating issues when needed, and stepping in hands‑on to maintain momentum and quality.
• Establish and lead executive governance forums, preparing actionable insights and recommendations for client and Accenture leadership to support timely and effective decision‑making.
• Act as a trusted advisor to client executives and program sponsors, guiding them toward leading practices, constructively challenging assumptions, and shaping decisions that enable successful SAP‑enabled business transformations.
• Drive clear and timely decision‑making by synthesizing complex information into actionable recommendations and aligning stakeholders around business priorities and program objectives.
• Proactively identify, assess, and manage program risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies, driving mitigation plans and ensuring accountability through resolution.
• Monitor and manage program financials, resource utilization, forecasting, delivery performance, and value realization metrics to ensure successful outcomes and contractual commitments.
• Champion AI‑first delivery practices by leveraging Agentic AI, GenAI, automation, analytics, and digital accelerators to modernize program delivery, improve visibility, streamline planning and reporting, strengthen governance, enhance decision‑making, and drive measurable gains in productivity, quality, predictability, and value realization.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders, SAP partners, and Accenture leadership to foster collaboration and ensure program success.
• Support origination and sales pursuits by shaping delivery strategies, defining program approaches, contributing to proposals, and bringing real‑world delivery experience to help win new business.
• Be a thought leader, contributing to the evolution of SAP delivery methodologies, AI‑enabled delivery assets, program management accelerators, and leading practices while coaching and developing the next generation of SAP transformation leaders.
