Job summary

The Reserve Bank of New Zealand (Te Pūtea Matua) is seeking a Senior Analyst (Risk Specialist) to join the Risk Specialists team on a fixed-term basis until January 2028, based in Auckland or Wellington. You will apply your expertise in technology risk, cyber resilience and regulatory compliance to strengthen New Zealand's financial system and support supervisory initiatives.

You will lead analytical projects, provide in-depth analysis and clear advice to regulators, build cyber resilience

Qualifications

• 3+ years' relevant professional experience in banking, insurance or financial markets, policy analysis or technology risk.
• Experience in operational resilience and cyber resilience is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to explain complex technical matters to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead analytical projects and provide in-depth analysis and recommendations to regulators.
• Develop cyber resilience frameworks with internal and external stakeholders.
• Coach junior colleagues and build cross-agency collaborations.
