Job summary

SkyCity is seeking an experienced risk and compliance professional to drive breadth and autonomy in a pivotal role. You’ll partner with the business to build risk capability, strengthen culture, and promote first-line ownership while upholding independence and constructive challenge.

You’ll influence senior leaders and governance forums, delivering pragmatic, commercially informed guidance and training. This role offers an opportunity to shape SkyCity’s risk journey across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading and delivering compliance or risk programmes end-to-end by partnering effectively with a broad range of business stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of New Zealand and/or Australian regulatory frameworks.
• Strong critical thinking and the confidence to provide constructive challenge in the moment, including at senior leadership level.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, with experience developing and delivering training and awareness programmes.
• A curious mindset and willingness to take ownership of new or unfamiliar workstreams.
• High levels of integrity, independence, discretion and sound professional judgement.
• Experience across financial crime, technology, cyber, data, conduct risk, investigations or whistleblowing frameworks would be highly valued.
