Job summary

ASB Bank in Auckland seeks a Manager Credit Risk Governance & Compliance to lead governance, risk management, and compliance within the Credit Risk team, reporting to the Chief Credit Officer. You will shape practices and provide critical reporting to executives.

You will work with senior leaders across the bank, drive continuous improvement, and promote a strong risk culture with clear insights, sound judgment and robust controls.

Qualifications

• Strong background in credit risk, operational risk, compliance or governance.
• Experience operating within complex risk or compliance frameworks.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
• Proven ability to present insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Continuous improvement mindset with track record of improving processes and controls.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and strong judgement.

Responsibilities

• Lead governance, risk management and compliance within the Credit Risk function.
• Deliver critical risk reporting and insights to executive stakeholders.
• Advise on emerging risks, regulatory changes and control effectiveness.
