Job summary

AIA Shared Services in Auckland is seeking a Senior Risk Management Specialist to strengthen and embed risk practices across the business. You will support leadership with risk analysis, governance, and robust reporting to inform decision-making during a fixed-term engagement.

You will collaborate with the Head of Enterprise Risk Management Services to drive continuous improvement, strengthen risk culture, and ensure alignment with regulatory and internal standards across divisions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience applying risk management frameworks, controls, and governance.
• Ability to analyse complex information and translate risk into actionable recommendations.
• Experience in financial services risk and insurance operations is preferred.
• Tertiary qualification in risk, finance, technology, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and oversight of risk and control frameworks.
• Strengthen risk culture through awareness and accountability.
• Deliver timely risk reporting and insights for governance and decision-making.
• Guide assurance and compliance activities across regulatory and internal obligations.
• Partner with stakeholders on projects to identify risks and improve outcomes.
