Job summary

ACC New Zealand in Wellington is seeking a Senior Response Analyst to respond to Official Information Act, Ministerial, media and business information requests. You will gather and analyse information, provide context and commentary, and support informed decision-making across ACC.

You will lead quality assurance, coach analysts, and drive continuous improvement while overseeing a central triage service for Analytics and Reporting requests.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification and/or equivalent experience in analysis, reporting, business insights or data analytics.
• Proven experience working with customers and stakeholders to understand and clarify business needs.
• Extensive experience analysing, manipulating and presenting data using SQL and other analytical tools.
• Ability to quickly assimilate complex information and communicate clear, concise written insights.
• Experience coaching, mentoring or supporting the development of other analysts.
• Continuous improvement mindset with experience identifying and implementing process enhancements.
• Strong relationship management, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• You must hold New Zealand work rights at the time of application.

About the role | Mō te tūranga mahi

As a Senior Response Analyst in the Response Team, you will be responsible for responding to information requests from a variety of areas inside and outside ACC, including Official Information Act requests, Ministerial correspondence, Media enquiries and business information requests. You'll gather and analyse information, provide context, commentary and caveats, and support informed decision-making across ACC. There is a high degree of variety in the work, providing exposure to a wide cross-section of the organisation. As part of the Response Team, you'll provide a centralised and efficient first-line triage service for Analytics and Reporting requests, helping to resolve requests directly or allocate them to the appropriate team. You will also support the Response Manager through quality assurance activities, stakeholder engagement, continuous improvement initiatives, and coaching and mentoring of other analysts.

The appointing salary for this role is $101,287 - $131,077 based on experience. ACC offers a comprehensive benefits package which at present includes an advantageous superannuation scheme (9% contribution) with features like no mandatory employee contribution, optional life and income protection insurance.
