Job summary

Ministry of Justice - New Zealand seeks a Senior Reporting Analyst for a 24-month fixed-term, full-time role in Wellington CBD. The role delivers analytics, modelling and reporting to advance Te Au Reka’s justice modernization programme.

You will provide expert advice, develop evidence-based insights, and collaborate with the Te Au Reka group to support strategy and prioritisation across the programme.

Qualifications

• Tertiary degree in a relevant field or equivalent knowledge, skills, and experience.
• Demonstrable curiosity and a strong commitment to learning and development.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret complex documents, including financial, numerical and business information.
• Ability to use digital tools and data required for the role efficiently and effectively.
• Well-developed written and oral communication and editing skills.
• Advanced technical skills in quantitative analysis and modelling; data visualisation.

Responsibilities

• Drive development of evidence and advice to advance programme goals.
• Deliver analytics, modelling, evaluation, and reporting.
• Provide expert advice on methodology, standards, commissioning.
• Collaborate across Te Au Reka to deliver evidence-based insights that support strategy, investment and prioritisation.
• Build and maintain relationships with external partners and stakeholders.
