Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar.
• Significant NZ commercial construction experience.
• Experience delivering refurbishment, fit-out, or seismic strengthening projects.
• Experience managing commercial functions on projects up to $100 million.
• Strong contract knowledge and commercial acumen.
• Confident communicator with client-facing experience.
• Ability to present, influence, and negotiate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the QS process across multiple commercial projects and manage budgets.
• Prepare cost plans, budgets, elemental estimates, and tender submissions.
• Produce rough order costs and detailed budgets for projects.
• Procurement and subcontractor tender management.
• Tender evaluation and subcontractor appointments.
• Variation assessment, pricing, and negotiation.
• Monthly cost reporting, forecasting and financial performance monitoring.
• Preparation and agreement of final accounts.
• Commercial risk identification and management.
• Manage contracts and contract documentation; resolve issues.
