Job summary

RobLawMax Recruitment is seeking a Senior Estimator / Quantity Surveyor for our Wellington team. You will work with pre-construction and delivery teams on pricing, procurement, and commercial strategies across diverse sectors including commercial, education, healthcare, and government.

You will review drawings, prepare estimates, manage subcontractor pricing, and drive cost control from early planning through delivery. NZ experience is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in estimating, quantity surveying or commercial management in NZ construction

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets and tender submissions.
• Review plans, specifications and contract documentation.
• Complete quantity take-offs and cost planning exercises.
• Manage subcontractor and supplier pricing enquiries.
• Analyze quotations and assess commercial and technical compliance.
• Support negotiated, ECI and traditional tender opportunities.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and construction efficiencies.
• Assist with procurement strategies and subcontractor engagement.
• Produce tender analyses, cost reports and commercial recommendations.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Provide commercial support to project teams during delivery.
