Wing Tai Fashion is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management across infrastructure projects in Christchurch and Queenstown. You will handle estimating, planning, cost control, and reporting while driving value for clients through proactive cost management.

The role requires extensive experience in cost estimating, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in managing complex projects.
• 7+ years project experience.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying.
• Extensive experience in cost estimating and planning software/ Cost X.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Senior Quantity Surveyor - Infrastructure

WT in Christchurch and Queenstown continue to secure a number of high-profile infrastructure projects, and in line with this strategic growth of our project pipeline, we are looking for an established Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our talented infrastructure team and work across a wide variety of projects.

Leading and supporting across multiple sectors, this role will perform various quantity surveying functions including estimating, planning and cost management, cost monitoring, and accurate and timely financial reporting whilst exercising sound financial acumen with a key focus on proactively maximising value for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

Liaising with clients, architects, and main contractors

Identifying and facilitating new business opportunities

Estimating and Cost Planning

Tender evaluations and analysis

Cash flow projects

Procurement

Cost reporting

Evaluation of variations

Payment Recommendations

Claims preparation, presentation, negotiation and settlement of claims

Formulating and implementing benchmarking processes to improve the consistency, accuracy and time to prepare cost models and plans

Qualifications

Proven experience in managing complex projects

7+ years project experience

Relevant tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying

Extensive experience in cost estimating and planning software/ Cost X

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
