Job summary

Construction & Technical Recruitment – Christchurch, South Island is seeking a Junior or Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join our Christchurch team. You’ll assist with estimating, measuring, cost planning and construction cost management on building projects across the region, with mentoring to develop your technical skills and take on more responsibility as you grow.

This is ideal for someone early in their QS career who asks questions, stays detail focused and enjoys teamwork.

Qualifications

• A relevant quantity surveying qualification and junior or intermediate QS experience.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn from feedback.
• Good attention to detail and confidence working with numbers.
• Clear communication and a team-focused attitude.
• The initiative to ask questions, take ownership and follow things through.

An established construction cost consultancy is looking for a Junior or Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join its Christchurch team.

This opportunity would suit someone early in their QS career who brings enthusiasm, asks questions and is keen to get involved. You'll work alongside experienced colleagues on building projects throughout the region, with support to develop your technical skills and take on more responsibility as your confidence grows.

The opportunity

You’ll support the team with estimating, measuring, cost planning and construction cost management. As you develop, you’ll gain exposure to different stages of a project and build your understanding of how a consultancy works with clients and project teams. There’s plenty to learn, and you’ll have people around you who are ready to share your knowledge and help you progress.
