Job summary

Assemble is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management across a diverse infrastructure project portfolio in New Zealand. You’ll own your own set of projects, working with project directors to influence costing, tendering and delivery decisions.

You will provide commercial guidance, manage tenders, variations and cost reporting, while mentoring junior staff and supporting client relationships. This is a senior role in a growing infrastructure team.

Qualifications

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying.
  • NZIQS membership (or working towards) preferred and/or MRICS.
  • Strong knowledge of NZS3910 and other standard contract forms.
  • Confident managing tenders, variations and cost reporting end-to-end.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with cost management software and MS Excel.

  • Assess and negotiate variations, claims and progress payments
  • Provide commercial advice to project teams and clients

This Senior Quantity Surveyor role sits within a busy infrastructure team, providing cost management and commercial advice across a diverse pipeline of infrastructure projects.
