Job summary

Connexa Limited, a leading New Zealand mobile tower infrastructure company, seeks a senior delivery leader to own end-to-end tower installations and network upgrades.

You will coordinate with customers, engineering, property, vendors and partners to deliver at scale safely, commercially, and to the highest technical standard.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex tower and passive infrastructure projects across planning, design and build.
• Own project plans, forecasts, budgets, reporting, governance and change controls to keep delivery on track.
• Anticipate and manage risks, issues, dependencies and opportunities across high-volume, technically complex programmes of work.
• Interpret technical specifications, drawings, evidence requirements and regulatory obligations from concept design through to build completion.
• Build trusted relationships across Customer, Engineering, Property, Finance, vendors and subcontractors to support safe, high-quality delivery.
• Drive subcontractor performance, delivery discipline, flexibility and continuous improvement.
• Champion NZ regulatory and Workplace Health & Safety compliance, promoting a proactive safety culture across every site and partner interface.
• Represent Connexa confidently in technical forums, delivery reviews and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Connexa is New Zealand's leading mobile tower infrastructure company, driven by a mission to enable a more connected digital future for Aotearoa New Zealand. We do this by designing, building and managing mobile sites across the country for telecommunications providers (like Spark and 2degrees) to expand their coverage efficiently and sustainably. Our tower portfolio of 2,500 covers Cape Reinga to Bluff and is the largest in New Zealand.

Kiwis' mobile data use has increased dramatically in recent years and demand for mobile services continues to grow. The Connexa team is focused on ensuring Aotearoa is keeping up with this increasing demand, both today and into the future, by building an additional 800 towers over the next eight years to support the required growth in coverage and capacity.

The Role:

This is not a coordination role, it is a senior delivery leadership role for someone who understands the complexity, pace and precision required to deliver telecommunications infrastructure at scale.

You will lead a portfolio of mobile tower installations and network upgrade projects end to end, from initiation and planning through design and delivery, ensuring every project is delivered safely, commercially and to the highest technical standard.

Working closely with customers, engineering, property, vendors, suppliers, service providers and property acquisition managers, you will bring structure, momentum and confidence to complex, multi-party delivery environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead complex tower and passive infrastructure projects across planning, design and build.

Requirements

• Significant experience managing complex telecommunications, tower, civil infrastructure or utilities projects, ideally in a high-volume delivery environment.
• Deep understanding of telco deployment, passive infrastructure, site delivery, construction interfaces and technical acceptance processes.
• Strong cross-functional project management capability; PMP, PRINCE2 or similar certification is advantageous.
• Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and external delivery partners through ambiguity, competing priorities and tight delivery timelines.
• A practical, commercially aware and detail-focused approach, combined with strategic thinking, resilience and strong problem-solving skills.
• Clear, confident communication skills and the credibility to influence internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
• Demonstrated leadership capability, with the ability to set clear direction, create accountability, coach others and drive outcomes through cross-functional teams and delivery partners.
• A growth mindset and commitment to collaboration, diversity and continuous improvement.
