INTEC Energy Solutions is a global EPC and O&M company delivering utility-scale solar PV, BESS and high-voltage electrical infrastructure projects across Australia and New Zealand. With a secured project pipeline exceeding 5 GW, our business continues to grow rapidly across the renewable energy and infrastructure sectors.

As part of this growth, INTEC has established a new electrical division specialising in high-voltage electrical infrastructure and project delivery, supporting major renewable energy and electricity infrastructure projects.

The Opportunity

The division is now establishing a permanent New Zealand operation, creating an opportunity for an experienced Operations Director – Electrical Infrastructure to help build the business and lead the delivery of major HV projects across New Zealand.

Working closely with INTEC's senior leadership team, you will have responsibility for both project delivery and building the long-term capability of the NZ operation.

What You'll Do

• Lead major HV electrical projects from engineering and procurement through construction, commissioning and energisation.
• Establish the NZ delivery capability, including building the team, contractor network, supply chain and project delivery systems.
• Own project performance across safety, programme, cost, quality, commercial outcomes and risk.
• Build strong relationships with Transpower, clients, consultants, contractors, OEMs and other key industry stakeholders.
• Support the growth of the NZ project pipeline across transmission, substations, grid connections and renewable energy infrastructure.

About You

You'll be a senior electrical infrastructure or project delivery leader with strong experience across the New Zealand electricity sector and the credibility to operate at both strategic and operational levels.

You'll bring:

• 15+ years' experience across electricity, utilities, infrastructure, renewable energy or heavy industry, with significant NZ experience.
• Proven delivery experience across major HV transmission, substation or grid-connection projects, ideally including Transpower and 220kV experience.
• Strong commercial and project leadership capability across contracts, procurement, financial performance, programme and risk.
• Established relationships with Transpower, network owners, renewable developers, consultants and major contractors.
• The leadership, commercial mindset and entrepreneurial approach to build a new operation and develop high-performing teams.
