Job summary

INTEC Energy Solutions seeks an experienced QA / QC Project Lead to join our international project delivery team for utility-scale Solar PV and BESS projects, based in New Zealand / Australia.

You will lead QA/QC activities across the project lifecycle, develop PQMP and ITPs, ensure compliance with international standards, manage NCRs, audits, and handover documentation, and mentor site QA/QC engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 8+ years of QA/QC experience in utility-scale renewable energy projects.
• Experience with Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and IEC standards.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with international travel willingness.

Responsibilities

• Lead all Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop, implement, and maintain PQMP, ITPs, quality procedures, and inspection checklists.
• Ensure project execution complies with contract specifications, company procedures, international standards, and client requirements.
• Manage quality inspections for civil, mechanical, electrical, and commissioning activities.
• Coordinate inspections with clients, Owner's Engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Review and approve MS, IRs, MIRs, and quality documentation.
• Monitor construction quality and identify NCRs, ensuring timely corrective and preventive actions.
• Perform internal quality audits and support external audits conducted by clients or certifying bodies.
• Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure all project documentation, quality records, inspection reports, and handover documentation are complete and properly maintained.
• Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers, Engineering, HSE, Procurement, and Commissioning teams.
• Mentor and supervise site QA/QC engineers and inspectors.
• Support project close-out activities, punch list management, and final acceptance processes.

We are currently seeking an experiencedQA / QC Project Leadto join our international project delivery team and ensure the highest quality standards across our utility-scale Solar PV and BESS projectsbased in New Zealand / Australia.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Management Plan (PQMP), Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), quality procedures, and inspection checklists.
• Ensure project execution complies with contract specifications, company procedures, applicable international standards, and client requirements.

• Coordinate inspections with clients, Owner's Engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Review and approve Method Statements (MS), Inspection Requests (IRs), Material Inspection Requests (MIRs), and quality documentation.
• Monitor construction quality and identify non-conformities (NCRs), ensuring timely corrective and preventive actions.
• Perform internal quality audits and support external audits conducted by clients or certification bodies.
• Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure all project documentation, quality records, inspection reports, and handover documentation are complete and properly maintained.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum8 yearsof QA/QC experience within utility-scale renewable energy projects.
• Proven experience in bothSolar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)is essential.
• Strong knowledge of EPC project execution and international quality standards.
• Experience with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
• Familiarity with IEC standards, electrical testing, commissioning activities, and quality documentation.
• Experience managing subcontractor quality performance and supplier inspections.
• Strong understanding of inspection processes, NCR management, FAT/SAT, and project handover documentation.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent English is required. Additional languages are considered an advantage.
• Willingness to travel internationally and work on project sites when required.

Preferred Experience

• Utility-scale Solar PV projects (50 MW+).
• BESS integration and commissioning.
• International EPC contractor experience.
• Experience working in multicultural and multidisciplinary project teams.
