This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building strong relationships, solving complex challenges, and delivering projects that make a meaningful difference to communities, organisations, and end users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support business growth and contribute to the development of Kensway's presence in the Waikato region.
About You

You are a motivated and experienced project professional who enjoys working collaboratively and taking ownership of project outcomes.

You will ideally bring:
  • Proven experience in project management within the construction, property, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
  • Experience coordinating design teams, consultants, and contractors.
  • Excellent programme and budget management capability.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project or equivalent project planning tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive and client-focused approach.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
Why Join Kensway?
  • Be part of a growing and respected New Zealand consultancy.
  • Play a key role in establishing and strengthening our Hamilton presence.
  • Work on significant and rewarding projects throughout the Waikato region.
  • Collaborate with a highly experienced and supportive national team.
  • Enjoy a culture focused on teamwork, professionalism, and client success.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and long-term career development.

We have a strong, stable team, with many of our staff having been with us for 10 years or more. Our average staff tenure is over seven years, which reflects the culture we’ve built - where people are valued, supported, and encouraged to grow. Staff turnover at Kensway is very low, and that’s something we’re proud of. We put a lot of time into finding the right people, with a mix of backgrounds in consulting and contracting, and then we make it a priority to keep them. We’re a company that genuinely puts family first, both in how we treat our team and in the way we work with clients. That philosophy creates strong internal loyalty and helps foster lasting external relationships too.

If you're passionate about delivering successful projects, building strong client relationships, and helping shape the future of the Waikato region, we'd love to hear from you.
