Job summary

Taituarā is seeking a senior leader to shape how a Council plans, governs, and delivers its capital investment programme in the Coromandel region. You will lead the Project Delivery team, provide systems and oversight to turn priorities into well-planned programmes and projects.

You will work across the Council, elected members, iwi, partners and consultants to align with shared outcomes and deliver lasting value for the district.

Qualifications

• This role requires strong leadership of a Project Delivery team and delivery oversight across the capital portfolio.
• Experience in large-scale infrastructure programmes with design, procurement, construction and implementation.
• Ability to provide impartial, informed advice to navigate competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing Project Delivery team and govern assigned programmes and projects.
• Oversee planning, prioritisation, forecasting and performance reporting of the capital portfolio.
• Provide clear, decision-ready reporting for councils, committees and senior leaders.
• Ensure commercially sound procurement and contract management, with oversight of consultants and contractors.
• Collaborate across councils, iwi, communities and funding partners to deliver outcomes.
