Nelson City Council is seeking a proactive Team Leader Capital Projects to drive a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and community projects that deliver real value for money for Whakatū Nelson and its residents.

You will lead a team of project managers, coach them in best practice, and collaborate with internal stakeholders, contractors and consultants to ensure safe, on-time delivery within budget and to high standards.

Formación

• Experience leading high-performing teams on infrastructure projects.
• Strong leadership and commercial acumen.
• Sound knowledge of procurement, contract and risk management.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies.
• Current New Zealand driver’s licence.

• Lead and inspire a skilled, adaptable team that delivers high-quality project management performance and value for money to the community.
• Provide sound, high-quality technical advice and expertise.
• Ensure infrastructure and community projects are delivered safely, efficiently and on budget.
• Champion best practice project management principles, techniques and systems throughout the project delivery cycle.
• Maximise financial advantage for Council through effective procurement and contract management.
• Lead stakeholder engagement and build relationships to support successful project outcomes.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and project management excellence.
