Job summary

Queenstown Airport is seeking an experienced procurement professional to own end-to-end procurement for major capital works, from strategy through contract award and delivery.

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will lead high-value projects across vertical and horizontal construction with scope to grow as the Horizon-ZQN programme progresses.

This role offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment in Otago with the chance to shape regional infrastructure and contribute to the local community.

Qualifications

• Significant senior procurement experience in construction or infrastructure.
• Experience advising on contract strategy, packaging and risk allocation.
• Proven ability to lead end-to-end procurement on large capital works programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement for high-value, complex vertical and horizontal construction projects
• Develop procurement strategies aligned to capital programme milestones and funding approvals
• Advise Programme and Project Managers on contract strategy, packaging and risk allocation
• Prepare, negotiate and establish contracts using the NZS construction contract suite
• Lead supplier negotiations for major infrastructure packages and secure commercially sound outcomes
• Support procurement across other areas of the business as needed
