Job summary

Hunter Campbell in partnership with Queenstown Airport is seeking a senior procurement professional to lead end-to-end procurement for major capital works, from strategy through contract award and delivery, in a fast-paced programme.

You will develop procurement strategies, advise on contract strategy and risk, and lead supplier negotiations on high-value infrastructure packages, while collaborating with Programme and Project Managers.

Qualifications

• Significant senior procurement or commercial experience in construction or infrastructure.
• Experience across vertical (buildings/terminal) and horizontal (civil/airfield/utilities) capital works.
• Strong knowledge of NZS39xx contract suite, including 3910 and 3916.
• Deep understanding of construction risk allocation and contract drafting principles.
• Ability to engage with senior stakeholders and executives.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement for high-value, complex vertical and horizontal construction projects.
• Develop procurement strategies aligned to capital programme milestones and funding approvals.
• Advise Programme and Project Managers on contract strategy, packaging and risk allocation.
• Prepare, negotiate and establish contracts using the NZS construction contract suite.
• Lead supplier negotiations for major infrastructure packages and secure commercially sound outcomes.
• Support procurement across other areas of the business as needed.
