Job summary

Tower Insurance is hiring a Senior Pricing Analyst for a 12-month fixed-term role in Auckland. You will act as SME on remediation pricing, designing and automating pricing models to improve accuracy and scalability across remediation initiatives.

You will lead analytics workstreams, collaborate with stakeholders, and provide technical guidance while ensuring governance and regulatory alignment. A strong foundation in SQL, Snowflake, and R/Python is required.

Qualifications

• Advanced SQL skills with a focus on accuracy.
• Experience with data platforms like Snowflake.
• Proficiency in R or Python for analytics.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience leading analytical workstreams or technical leadership.

Your impact:

This role sits at the heart of Tower's remediation programme, helping to turn complex challenges into meaningful customer outcomes. You'll use your analytical expertise to identify impacts, support remediation solutions, and contribute to initiatives that strengthen trust in our products, processes, and customer experience.

What You'll Be Doing

• Act as the subject matter expert on remediation pricing, using your technical expertise to solve complex challenges and guide remediation outcomes.
• Design, build, and automate pricing and analytical models that improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability across remediation initiatives.
• Lead or contribute to enterprise-wide remediation projects, partnering with stakeholders to identify impacts, manage risks, and deliver customer-focused solutions.
• Provide technical leadership through mentoring, peer reviews, and ensuring remediation solutions are robust, well-governed, and compliant with regulatory expectations.

To thrive in this role, you'll need:

• Be comfortable in writing, troubleshooting and testing sophisticated code with a strong focus on accuracy
• Advanced SQL skills and experience working with data platforms like Snowflake
• Well versed in R (or Python)
• Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Experience in leading analytical workstreams or providing technical leadership
• A minimum of 3-4 years in a remediation or general insurance pricing role
• Desired: Tertiary qualification in either Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering or Mathematics
