Job summary

Turbo Staff is seeking an experienced Senior Professional Quantity Surveyor to lead a portfolio of projects in Hamilton, New Zealand. This senior client-facing role focuses on cost management, procurement strategy, and delivering commercial advice from feasibility through to final account.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in commercial construction or civil infrastructure, strong contract knowledge, and NZIQS registration or progression.

Qualifications

• 8+ years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
• Background in commercial construction or civil infrastructure.
• Strong contractual and commercial knowledge.
• Experience with pre- and post-contract QS services.
• NZIQS membership or working toward registration is valued.
• Ability to manage procurement, risk and contract matters.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end quantity surveying and cost management.
• Prepare feasibility studies and detailed cost plans.
• Develop quantities schedules, tender docs and pricing.
• Advise on procurement strategies and contractor selection.
• Manage tender processes, evaluations and negotiations.
• Provide post-contract QS services and final accounts.
• Monitor costs, budgets, variances and forecasts.
• Mentor junior QS professionals and support client relationships.
