Job summary
Worley is seeking a Lead / Principal Power Systems Engineer to join our ANZ Power team. This technical leadership role focuses on complex power system studies, grid connection programs and mentoring engineers across multidisciplinary projects in Australia and New Zealand.
You will act as a trusted advisor to clients, lead studies from concept to commissioning, and help shape Worley’s power systems capability while delivering high-quality outcomes on major energy, transmission and renewable
Qualifications
- Degree in electrical engineering and (preferably) postgraduate qualifications.
- Extensive experience leading power systems projects for utilities, consulting or renewables.
- Proven ability to lead technical teams and deliver complex projects end-to-end.
- Advanced skills in power system analysis and modelling tools (PowerFactory, PSS/E, PSCAD).
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for complex power system studies and grid connection work.
- Lead multidisciplinary project teams and ensure on-time, high-quality delivery.
- Act as SME for transmission, distribution and generation projects across ANZ.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to business development and client relationships.
- Governance and quality assurance for power system models and reports.
