Job summary

Worley is seeking a Lead/Principal Power Systems Engineer to join our ANZ Power team, providing technical leadership across major utility, transmission, renewable energy and energy transition projects. You will mentor engineers and lead studies, grid connection programs and regulatory compliance efforts in Australia and New Zealand.

You will apply deep knowledge of ANZ power networks and grid codes, manage client relationships and contribute to business development while steering

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent; postgraduate qualifications advantageous.
• Extensive experience in power systems engineering across utilities, consulting, renewables, transmission, or heavy industry.
• Demonstrated experience leading technical teams and delivering complex power system projects from concept through to commissioning.
• Strong mentoring and leadership capabilities, with a passion for developing people and building high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for complex power system studies and grid connection programs across ANZ.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring high-quality technical outcomes, client satisfaction, budget and schedule adherence.
• Act as subject matter expert for transmission, distribution and generation projects in ANZ.
• Lead grid connection strategies, registrations and compliance assessments for renewable generation, BESS, and energy projects.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers, supporting capability growth within the ANZ Power team.
• Contribute to business development, including proposals and client engagement.
