Job summary

Level in Auckland is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and operate the cloud infrastructure and developer platform that powers Level products. You will own the Kubernetes platform, IaC workflows, CI/CD pipelines, networking, and security posture to enable reliable, scalable software delivery.

You will join a small, senior‑leaning Platform team where decisions impact reliability, performance, and developer velocity across the org.

Qualifications

• 5+ years operating large-scale cloud infrastructure.
• Deep IaC experience (Terraform/OpenTofu; CloudFormation/Pulumi/CDK also relevant).
• Scripting/automation proficiency (Python, Go, or Bash).
• Solid cloud networking fundamentals and security best practices.
• Proven CI/CD and GitOps experience (GitHub Actions or similar).
• Observability experience used to drive decisions.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate secure, highly available AWS infrastructure using Terraform/OpenTofu with a GitOps workflow (Atlantis).
• Operate and evolve EKS: autoscaling, upgrades, core add-ons, and Helm-based delivery (ArgoCD).
• Build and maintain GitHub Actions pipelines enabling fast, safe shipping with self-service tooling.
• Own ingress/egress, service mesh, load balancing, edge TLS, and DNS management.
• Build observability with OpenTelemetry and SigNoz to drive reliability and cost decisions.
• Mentor engineers and set platform standards for the team.
