Job summary

Kiwibank is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join the Digital Workplace Security Services (DWSS) Identity Governance and Administration team. The role focuses on building and running secure, auditable identity platforms that ensure the right access at the right time.

Based in central Auckland or Wellington, you’ll work with the Lead Engineer and Product Lead to deliver IGA initiatives, support on-call work, and drive automation across access lifecycle, reviews, and entitlement management

Qualifications

• Experience across identity governance and administration in large/complex environments.
• Hands-on design, implementation, and operation of IGA capabilities.
• Experience with automation, APIs, versioning tools like Git, and IaC tooling such as Terraform.
• Experience integrating enterprise systems using SCIM, REST APIs, and LDAP.
• Agile or DevOps collaboration with engineers.
• Strong security and governance mindset.

Responsibilities

• Build, run, and improve identity governance capabilities.
• Collaborate with Lead Engineer and Product Lead to deliver IGA work across platforms.
• Support engineers and ensure quality delivery.
• Own detailed implementation and design across access lifecycle and entitlement management.
• Automate repeatable access processes and improve reliability.
• Respond to on-call duties in a regulated banking environment.
