Partly Group in Christchurch, New Zealand is seeking a Platform Security Engineer to own the security posture of the platform while contributing to its reliability. You will implement security controls and work hands-on with infrastructure, being the first dedicated security hire at Partly. With responsibility for our security compliance and incident response, this role requires strong experience in security engineering and practical knowledge of Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in security engineering, platform engineering, or SRE with strong security focus.
• Hands-on Kubernetes security experience.
• Experience with ISO 27001, SOC 2, or PCI-DSS.
• Strong understanding of cloud security principles.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code practices.

Responsibilities

• Participate in on-call rotation alongside the SRE team.
• Prepare for and pass security audits.
• Implement principle of least privilege across the stack.
• Manage vulnerabilities systematically.
