Job summary

Air New Zealand is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer for the Connected Aircraft squad within TechOps Performance Tribe. The role focuses on engineering and operating secure, reliable platforms for onboard connectivity and related ground systems, across Windows, AWS, and hybrid environments.

Qualifications

Bachelor-level or higher in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
Cloud, networking or security certifications are advantageous.
Solution Architecture or broader technical design experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Engineer and support secure, reliable Windows platforms, AWS and hybrid infrastructure for Connected Aircraft applications and ground systems.
Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for GSE and aviation laptops.
Build and improve CI/CD, source control, automated testing and deployment practices.
Engineer and maintain security and identity infrastructure including PKI and TLS.
Develop automation using PowerShell, Python, or Shell to improve platform reliability.
Own monitoring, incident response and production readiness in a 24/7 environment.
Lead testing, validation and deployments and collaborate with partners.
