Job summary

ConsultANZ seeks an experienced Senior Planner to join our client’s team on major civil infrastructure projects across Auckland, New Zealand. This permanent full-time role focuses on leading planning, programming and project delivery with a strong emphasis on schedule control.

You will develop and maintain schedules using Primavera P6, MS Project and Candy CCS, monitor progress, manage risks, and collaborate with engineering, commercial, procurement and site teams to ensure on-time, on-budget

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• 8+ years in project management or planning for civil infrastructure.
• Strong civil background in bridges, piling, marine or complex projects.
• Experience with planning, cost reporting, procurement, and contract management.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6, MS Project and Candy CCS is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support project planning, programming and delivery.
• Develop and maintain schedules using Primavera P6, MS Project or Candy CCS.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and delays, and implement mitigations.
• Prepare programme updates, cost reports and forecasts.

ConsultANZ is looking for experienced Senior Plannersto join our client’s team on major civil infrastructure projects across Auckland, New Zealand.
This is a permanent full-time opportunity to work on technically complex infrastructure projects, collaborating with experienced project delivery teams from leading civil engineering contractors.

Main Duties

• Lead and support project planning, programming, and delivery.
• Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6, MS Project, or Candy CCS.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks and delays, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Prepare programme updates, cost reports, and forecasts.
• Coordinate with engineering, commercial, procurement, and site teams.
• Manage contractual requirements and project controls.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Qualification

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in project management, planning/programming, or civil infrastructure.
• Strong technical civil background, ideally in bridges, concrete works, piling, marine, or other complex infrastructure projects.
• Experience across planning/programming, cost reporting, procurement, and contract management.
• Experience with Primavera P6, MS Project, and Candy CCS is highly desirable.
• Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
