Job summary

Datacom, New Zealand's leading technology provider, seeks a Senior Cybersecurity Consultant to drive offensive security across applications, APIs, networks and systems. You will design and execute penetrations, BAS campaigns, and AI red-teaming engagements for external clients and internal teams.

You will apply threat modelling, secure code review, and risk analysis to deliver actionable remediation guidance, with strong communication to technical and executive stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Offensive Security and Penetration Testing in enterprise/consulting.
• Experience with BAS, AI Red Teaming and emerging offensive techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive penetration testing on applications, APIs, networks and systems using manual and automated methods.
• Design and execute BAS campaigns to test detection and response capabilities.
• Conduct AI Red Teaming assessments to identify vulnerabilities in ML models and AI-powered apps.
• Formulate attack plans, test cases, and working exploits during engagements.
• Support threat modelling sessions and secure code reviews with an offensive security perspective.
• Prepare reports detailing results and remediation recommendations.
• Deliver remediation workshops to clients with attack narratives and guidance.
• Collaborate with security teams to enhance testing capabilities and defensive strategies.
• Conduct R&D to uplift offensive security and stay ahead of threats.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging security threats and AI security risks.
