Job summary

Datacom is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Consultant to lead offensive security engagements across applications and networks. You will execute penetration tests, design BAS campaigns, and perform AI red teaming to uncover vulnerabilities in ML models and AI-driven systems.

Collaborate with Threat Modelling and secure code review efforts, delivering actionable remediation recommendations. This role is open to candidates nationwide in New Zealand, with preference for Datacom offices, and requires

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Offensive Security and Penetration Testing in enterprise/consulting.
• Experience or strong interest in BAS, AI Red Teaming and offensive security techniques.
• Familiarity with application security, threat modelling and secure code reviews with an attacker mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive penetration testing of applications, APIs, networks, and systems using manual and automated methods.
• Design and run BAS campaigns to test detection and response across client environments.
• Conduct AI Red Teaming to identify vulnerabilities in ML models and AI-powered apps, including prompt injections and data extraction risks.
• Prepare detailed reports with remediation guidance and present findings to clients.
