Job summary

AUT Online is expanding access to university education through flexible, high-quality postgraduate programs designed for working professionals. Reporting to the AUT Online Director, you will lead an operational team, oversee budgeting, systems and strategies to deliver reliable online learning experiences.

You’ll partner with Finance, ICT and academic units, shaping priorities, improving processes and ensuring resourcing aligns with strategic aims for AUT Online across Aotearoa New Zealand.

Qualifications

• Eight years overall experience, with at least five years in operational management in a complex environment.
• Three years’ experience managing budgets, expenditure monitoring, forecasting, procurement and contracts.
• Experience leading and developing direct reports across multiple functions.
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.
• Demonstrated cultural competency and commitment to equity and inclusion, Te Tiriti principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and coordination across AUT Online with functional leads; clarify responsibilities and resources.
• Lead operational budget planning, monitoring, forecasting and reporting with analysis and recommendations.
• Manage day-to-day commercial engagement with vendors and contractors.
• Oversee operational systems and processes; identify improvement opportunities.
• Lead reporting, dashboards and action tracking on performance and risks.
• Provide people leadership, development and resourcing.
