Endura Mining seeks an experienced Senior Mining Engineer to join our technical services team. This leadership role focuses on mine planning, production optimisation, project delivery, and mentoring engineers to ensure safe, efficient underground operations.

With New Zealand site operations and a growing Sydney corporate team, you will shape our future from the ground up, collaborating with Operations, Geology, Survey, Ventilation and Geotechnical teams to meet production targets while upholding

Responsibilities

• Provides expert guidance to team members and leadership, embedding mine engineering principles into planning and decision-making.
• Developing and overseeing short-, medium-, and long-term underground mine plans.
• Optimising mine design, production schedules and development strategies for performance.
• Monitoring and reporting production against budgets and forecasts.
• Managing mine planning systems, schedules and engineering deliverables.
• Providing technical leadership and mentoring to Mining Engineers and Graduates.
• Collaborating with Operations, Geology, Survey, Ventilation and Geotechnical teams to achieve objectives.
• Conducting mine design reviews, risk assessments and feasibility evaluations.
• Identifying and implementing continuous improvement to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
• Supporting annual budgeting, life-of-mine planning and capital project evaluations.
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
• Lead and improve the mine planning process to meet schedules and operations needs.

We are seeking an experienced and drivenSenior Mining Engineerto join our technical services team! This is a key leadership position responsible for mine planning, production optimisation, project delivery, and mentoring engineering personnel to ensure safe, efficient, and profitable underground mining operations.

As our Senior Mining Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Provides expert advice and guidance to team members and line leadership, leads by example and embeds mine engineering principles into planning, analysis and decision-making.


• Developing and overseeing short, medium, and long-term underground mine plans.


• Optimising mine design, production schedules, and development strategies to maximise operational performance.


• Monitoring and reporting on production performance against budget and forecast targets.


• Managing mine planning systems, schedules, and engineering deliverables.


• Providing technical leadership and mentoring to Mining Engineers and Graduate Engineers.


• Collaborating with Operations, Geology, Survey, Ventilation, and Geotechnical teams to achieve production objectives.


• Conducting mine design reviews, risk assessments, and feasibility evaluations.


• Identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities to enhance productivity and reduce costs.


• Supporting annual budget preparation, life-of-mine planning, and capital project evaluations.


• Ensuring compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Mine Planning:

• Establishes and maintains the processes that produce mineable development and stope designs. Ensuring that mine plans are cost effective and where possible minimise exposure to hazards


• Collaborate effectively with key stakeholders in order to produce mine plans that contain the most up to date information and that continue to work towards industry best practice


• Ensure mine plans contain detail and risk mitigation for known hazards identified during the mine planning process


• Verify the database and catalogue of approved mine plans for maximum data integrity


• Lead and improve the mine planning process to ensure mine plans are completed in a timely fashion to meet the mine schedule and the needs of operations


• Lead the communication activities required to ensure strategic priorities, risks to the plan and opportunities are well understood across the business


• Lead infrastructure planning and designs

Mine Scheduling:

• Oversee the issuing of the weekly and 3-month mine schedules that align with production targets, resource availability, and operational constraints


• Complete the LOA (Life of Asset) and budget planning schedules along with associated documentation


• Lead and if required establish the monitoring of actual mining performance against plan; complete compliance-to-plan routines and provide clear commentary on production variances and trends. Work in accordance with site policies, procedures, and standards while maintaining strong communication with operations and technical services teams


• Ensure reporting is completed in appropriate time frames and completed accurately


• Provide timely technical input and direction to the operations team to support safe, injury-free, and cost-effective ore extraction


• Lead the reporting of daily performance, ensuring timely delivery of reports
