Endura Mining is seeking an experienced Processing Superintendent to lead safe, efficient operation of the new gold plant in New Zealand. You will supervise crews across crushing, milling, gravity and leach, coordinate with metallurgists and maintenance, and drive production targets while upholding Endura’s values.

With 7+ years in metalliferous processing and proven leadership, you will set the standard for safety and performance, shaping a culture of excellence as the plant scales.

• Manage reagents, consumables, stores coding and contractor activities in the processing plant.
• Provide leadership and development for crew leaders and crews, ensuring performance aligns with targets.

We are seeking an experiencedProcessing Superintendentto take responsibility for the supervision, safety, and management of safe and timely achievement of production targets. Reporting to the Processing Manager and working with the Senior Metallurgist, you will have operational responsibility for your crews and the management of plant activities while on site.

This is a frontline leadership role for someone who leads from the front, sets the standard for safe work, and gets the best out of their team. You will ensure crews and supporting teams operate the plant across crushing, milling, gravity and intensive leach, flotation, concentrate handling, tailings placement and water management while adapting plans to changing conditions to keep the operation running safely and efficiently.

As our Processing Superintendent, you will be responsible for:

Safety, Health, Environment & Community (SHEC)

• Take personal responsibility for your own safety and that of those around you, intervening when you see unsafe work or conditions.
• Work in accordance with all relevant New Zealand health, safety and environmental legislation, site permits, and Endura Mining policies, procedures and the site safety and health management system.
• Identify, report and help control hazards; participate and lead pre-start meetings, toolbox talks, risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Promote a positive safety culture and demonstrate behaviours aligned with Endura Mining's values.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and hold team safety meetings to promote safe work practices and a healthy workplace. Verify that controls are in place and functioning as expected.
• Ensure high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness are maintained in work areas and the plant.
• Establish a positive reporting safety culture and that all safety incidents, suggestions and actions are reported and managed in a timely manner.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and ensure active participation in the Site Safety Management Systems.

Operational Supervision

• Proactively engage multiple teams to coordinate activities that ensure targets are met and identify solutions to manage daily, weekly and monthly KPI's are met.
• Assist the crew leaders to manage the plant operation to produce budgeted gold output without compromising plant integrity or continuity of operations.
• Adapt plans, schedules and work orders day to day to meet changing conditions at the plant.
• Ensure reagent and consumable use is in line with budget, and that stores issues are coded to the correct area and activity.
• Ensure contractors are managed in line with Endura Mining's policies and procedures, and take accountability for management of day to day tasks in the processing plant area.

People & Capability

• Lead, direct and mentor the crew leaders and crews, acting as a reference point and ensuring work outputs align with plant targets.
• Ensure team members are appropriately trained and developed so they are skilled and competent for their allocated duties.
• Set clear expectations, provide feedback, and manage performance fairly, consistently and with regular frequency.
• Foster a positive, supportive crew environment that promotes safety, teamwork and continuous improvement.
• Compliance & Communication
• Inspect and audit work areas and practices for compliance with site policies and procedures.
• Support incident investigations and the close-out of corrective actions.
• Maintain clear communication within the crew and with the maintenance, and technical teams including identifying and correcting any misalignment from the Values among the processing team.
• Support commissioning and ramp-up activities as the operation comes online.

About You:

• Demonstrated experience in metalliferous mineral processing, with at least 7+ years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop crews, ideally across a continuous (shift-based) operation.
• Sound operational judgement and practical problem-solving ability in a fast-paced plant environment.
• A genuine, demonstrated commitment to safety leadership and the wellbeing of the team.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across departments.
• Understanding of, or willingness to learn, the requirements of operating under New Zealand mining health, safety and environmental legislation.
