Job summary

Punchbowl Automation seeks a Mechanical Systems Engineer to translate customer requirements into practical machine concepts and layouts. You will bridge early customer problems with high-level machine design, applying whole-system thinking from concept to commissioning.

Work closely with mechanical, electrical and software teams, visiting customer sites to define needs, participate in prototyping and testing, and drive design standardization for robust automation in a fast-growing division.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in industrial machine design or related field.
• Experience turning customer requirements into machine concepts.
• Strong CAD capability and practical workshop knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design and system architecture for product flow, accumulation and throughput.
• Visit sites to define operational needs and engineer reliable automation systems.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical and software teams through prototyping and testing.
• Support FAT/SAT, commissioning and in-field troubleshooting.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive standardization of system thinking.
