Job summary

AllRecruits is seeking a Senior Automation Systems Engineer to design, implement and deliver customer-focused automation solutions across industries such as food and pharma. You will gather project information, develop automation from design through commissioning, and manage projects to meet timelines.

You will troubleshoot hardware and software, mentor teammates, ensure health and safety procedures, maintain quality standards, and participate in on-call rosters.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of automation engineering experience, including complex solutions.
• Recent experience in a systems integration company.
• Experience in process-centric industries like food, pharma, and dairy.
• Experience with Rockwell and Schneider PLCs.
• Familiarity with development standards and version control practices.
• Ability to mentor others and work in a collaborative team.
• Willingness to travel nationally (and overseas occasionally).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and deliver customer-focused automation solutions.
• Gather and assimilate project information and document accordingly.
• Develop automation from technical design through commissioning.
• Manage projects and communicate progress to meet timelines.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software, provide support as needed.
• Provide technical guidance to team members and customers.
• Ensure health & safety procedures are followed and mentored.
• Contribute to quality standards, policies and methodologies.
• Prepare tender submissions and quotes within set values.
• Travel nationwide for commissioning; overseas travel may be required.
• Research trends in manufacturing technologies and promote brand opportunities.
