Job summary

Oranga Tamariki—Ministry for Children is seeking a Senior Learning Designer to shape learning pathways and qualifications for New Zealand's residential workforce. You will partner with universities and education providers to develop recognised professional credentials and align solutions with industry standards.

You will lead strategic learning design across multiple stakeholders, translate workforce needs into practical programmes, and drive continuous improvement while supporting tamariki,

Qualifications

• Significant experience in adult learning, learning design and workforce capability.
• Experience building education partnerships and qualification pathways.
• A strong understanding of the tertiary education sector and accreditation bodies.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and development of strategic learning solutions to build workforce capability.
• Provide expert advice on qualifications frameworks and learning pathways.
• Develop partnerships with universities, wānanga, institutes of technology and other providers.
• Translate workforce capability needs into practical learning strategies and programmes.
• Ensure learning solutions align with professional standards and residential service needs.
• Evaluate programme effectiveness and support continuous improvement.
